DR ‹ › The new IMAX® with Laser theater at Megarama in Morocco is set to open on December 17, 2025, at the Arribat Center mall in Rabat. With a capacity of 150 seats, this state-of-the-art screening room aims to invite audiences to «experience cinema differently». It features a curved screen that fills the viewer's field of vision to «give the sensation of entering the film», along with ultra-clear image quality offering richer details, intense colors and contrasts, and an immersive sound environment. The opening will coincide with the national release of Avatar: The Way of Fire and Ash, the latest installment in James Cameron's saga. «This third chapter promises an even more spectacular exploration of Pandora, with new environments, a major technological leap in visual effects, and a narrative centered on new family and tribal challenges», a statement said. «Projected in IMAX, Avatar 3 will offer Rabat audiences an optimal immersive experience, closely aligned with the visual and auditory intentions of the director», it added. Cyril Audineau, Country Manager of Megarama Morocco, expressed his satisfaction at introducing «a technology in the capital that transforms every screening into a true sensory journey».
