DR ‹ › Morocco welcomed 19.8 million tourists in 2025, marking a significant increase of over 14% from 2024. This historic surge brings the country tantalizingly close to the 20 million visitor milestone for the first time. These figures underscore the sector's steady evolution, Morocco's growing allure as a destination, and tourism's pivotal role in driving economic growth. This upward trend is echoed in another record: tourism revenues. By the end of November 2025, revenues are projected to reach 124 billion dirhams, representing an unprecedented 19% rise compared to 2024, according to a statement from the Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social and Solidarity Economy. The ministry notes that this achievement «reflects the tangible outcomes of the 2023–2026 Tourism Roadmap», which focuses on «enhancing air connectivity, expanding accommodation capacity, diversifying offerings, improving service quality, and boosting regional investment». Fatim-Zahra Ammor, the Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social and Solidarity Economy, asserts that this momentum signifies the «profound transformation» underway in the sector, which is increasingly oriented towards sustainability and regional value creation. Building on this «strategic milestone», the ministry has set its sights on attracting 26 million tourists. The aim is to establish Morocco as «a benchmark tourist destination» by 2030.
