DR ‹ › The National Foundation of Museums (FNM) and the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation (Stiftung Preußischer Kulturbesitz – SPK) have signed a landmark partnership agreement in Rabat this Thursday, aimed at bolstering collaboration in the museum sector. This agreement, endorsed by FNM President Mehdi Qotbi and SPK President Marion Ackermann, paves the way for joint initiatives in the museum domain, encompassing scientific, educational, and cultural dimensions. It will also facilitate the organization of shared cultural events, including temporary exhibitions in both nations. With a focus on the exchange of expertise, skill networking, and the enhancement of collections, the agreement is set to foster the development of collaborative projects that serve the public and enhance cultural influence on both national and international stages. On this occasion, Mehdi Qotbi emphasized that the partnership unveils promising avenues for collaboration between the two entities, particularly in the realms of museums, heritage, science, and culture. The agreement also seeks to advance research on collections encompassing both tangible and intangible heritage, promote educational cooperation, and plan exhibitions in both countries, Qotbi noted. Marion Ackermann, for her part, remarked that this cooperation agreement underscores the commitment of both parties to deepen cultural collaboration in education, exhibitions, and research. She highlighted that the collaboration between SPK and FNM draws strength from the potential of both foundations, which aim to develop forward-thinking artistic projects and concepts through their diverse museums. Initiated by the Goethe-Institut Marokko with backing from the German embassy in Morocco, this partnership is part of a rich and continually evolving cultural dialogue between the two countries.
