DR ‹ › From Monday to Wednesday, Morocco is bracing for snowfall, a cold wave, and strong gusts of wind across several provinces, as announced by the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM). Snowfall between 10 and 20 cm is anticipated at elevations starting from 1,300 meters in the provinces of Ifrane, Khénifra, Midelt, Boulemane, Sefrou, Guercif, and Taza. This weather event is expected to begin Monday at noon and continue until Wednesday at 6:00 AM, as per the DGM's orange-level alert bulletin. Meanwhile, snowfall of 5 to 10 cm is forecasted for the provinces of Al Haouz, Azilal, Béni Mellal, and Ouarzazate during the same period. In addition, a cold wave is set to bring temperatures plummeting to between -9 and -4°C from Monday to Wednesday in the provinces of Tinghir, Al Haouz, Midelt, Boulemane, Ouarzazate, Taroudant, Azilal, Béni Mellal, and Ifrane. Similarly, temperatures are expected to drop to between -3 and 0°C in the provinces of Figuig, Khénifra, Chichaoua, Sefrou, Taza, and Guercif during this timeframe. Strong winds, reaching speeds of 75-85 km/h, are also predicted. These will affect the provinces of Figuig, Sidi Ifni, and Guelmim on Monday from noon until 11:00 PM. From Tuesday at 3:00 AM until Wednesday at 6:00 AM, the winds will extend to the provinces of Ouarzazate, Tinghir, Driouch, Figuig, Jerada, Nador, Taourirt, Midelt, Boulemane, and Guercif.
