Reuters ‹ › Bahrain has expressed its solidarity with Morocco following the floods that struck several regions after weeks of heavy rainfall. In a statement, released on Thursday, Bahrain's Ministry of Foreign Affairs extended its sympathy and deepest condolences to the Moroccan government and people, as well as to the families of the victims, wishing the injured a swift recovery and safety for all residents. Northern Morocco has been hit by severe weather in recent weeks, with the city of Ksar El Kebir evacuated due to rising water levels in the Loukkos River. Last weekend, nine people were killed near Tangier, while four others died near Tetouan after floodwaters swept away a car.
