DR ‹ › Following the security incidents in Mexico, triggered by the killing of a leader of the criminal organization known as the «Jalisco New Generation Cartel», and the ensuing tensions and unrest in parts of the country, the Moroccan Embassy in Mexico City has moved swiftly to implement a series of precautionary measures to closely monitor the situation of the Moroccan community. In this context, the embassy activated a monitoring and direct communication unit with Moroccan nationals via email and its dedicated mobile phone line. The aim is to ensure the safety of all Moroccan citizens residing in or temporarily present in Mexico and to provide them with the necessary guidance in line with developments on the ground, according to information obtained from the Moroccan diplomatic mission. The embassy has also contacted all registered Moroccan nationals, urging them to exercise the utmost caution, avoid gathering areas or locations experiencing disturbances, and strictly follow the instructions of local authorities. The embassy stressed that it is continuously monitoring the security situation in Mexico and will provide updates or additional information as necessary to ensure the safety of Moroccan nationals in the country.
