SNC ‹ › Israel is gearing up to host the second edition of the Moroccan-Israeli economic forum centered on High-Tech, highlighting the strengthening ties between the two nations in the realm of innovation. «A Moroccan economic delegation is anticipated to visit the Hebrew state in the coming weeks, spearheaded by a prominent Israeli NGO», reported Africa Intelligence on Tuesday. This visit is part of a twelve-week intensive initiative titled «Connect2Innovate», aimed at fostering collaboration between the entrepreneurial ecosystems of both countries. The program is led by «Start-Up Nation Central», an association established in 2013 renowned for its pivotal role in promoting Israeli innovation on the global stage. Tamara Saraga, an independent consultant based in Israel and a respected authority in the High-Tech sector, is playing a crucial role in organizing this forum. She has emerged as a vital figure in fortifying technological and economic connections between Morocco and Israel. Since the restoration of diplomatic relations between Rabat and Tel Aviv on December 10, 2020, she has been dedicated to enhancing exchanges and partnerships in advanced technologies. To recall, «Start-Up Nation Central», in collaboration with other stakeholders, organized the inaugural edition of the forum «Morocco-Israel: Connect to Innovate» in May 2022 in Casablanca. The event was launched under the patronage of André Azoulay, advisor to King Mohammed VI, and included a virtual address by Israeli President Isaac Herzog. Key members of Aziz Akhannouch's government were present at the event, including Mohammed Abdeljalil, then Minister of Transport and Logistics, Ghita Mezzour, then Minister of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, and Ryad Mezzour, the current Minister of Industry and Trade. The opening ceremony was also distinguished by the signing of 13 memorandums of understanding (MoUs), aimed at developing innovative solutions across various strategic sectors.
