Ph. Ibn Tofail University of Kenitra ‹ › Students from the Institute of Sports Professions (IMS) at Ibn Tofail University in Kenitra have secured first place in the fifth edition of the International Olympic Case Study Competition (CIEC), held on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, in Lausanne, Switzerland. Announcing their triumph, the university hailed a «historic victory» that highlights its «academic excellence». Among the finalists in the master's category, two had previously won in earlier editions. Ibn Tofail faced off against the German Sport University Cologne, the International University of Monaco, and the universities of Leuven in Belgium, Lille in France, and Tübingen in Germany. For Ibn Tofail University, this success is a testament to «the commitment, creativity, and professionalism of the students, who proudly represented the colors of Morocco and Africa on the international stage». The university also emphasized «the dedication and ambition» of its teacher-researchers, «whose constant efforts are a cornerstone of success». On this occasion, it reaffirmed its «determination to continue its mission of academic and scientific outreach on a global scale». The CIEC is a «training program focused on problem-solving». The concept involves students «applying their theoretical knowledge to find solutions to current challenges in sports management through applied research and collaborative analysis». This year's edition was themed «Support and Assistance for High-Level Young Athletes». The event was organized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), in partnership with Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and the European University of Madrid.
