The German club's sporting director, Fabian Wohlgemuth, confirmed the news. In an interview with the German publication Sport Bild, Wohlgemuth revealed that all contractual conditions have been satisfied, paving the way for the Moroccan midfielder's permanent move. Sport Bild reports that the 21-year-old El Khannouss will be under contract with the German club until 2030. The transfer deal is valued at 15 million euros, with additional bonuses possible, following a loan agreement last summer priced at 3.5 million euros. Born in Strombeek-Bever, Belgium, Bilal El Khannouss previously played for Anderlecht and Genk before joining Leicester in August 2024, and was subsequently loaned to Stuttgart. This season, El Khannouss has become an indispensable player for VfB Stuttgart, who are currently ranked 3rd in the Bundesliga.
