DR ‹ › Visitors to the 10th edition of the Moroccan real estate fair, SMAP IMMO, held from March 27 to 29 in Brussels, had the opportunity to appreciate the country's rich cultural heritage through its craftsmanship, thanks to a dedicated stand showcasing the skills of Moroccan artisans and the authenticity of this age-old heritage. For the first time in the history of this exhibition, a Craft Village was set up over an area of approximately 300 m², featuring the participation of 16 artisans representing various crafts and regions of Morocco. They presented their products and innovative creations to a wide audience composed of Moroccans from around the world and international visitors. This initiative is organized by the State Secretariat in charge of Handicrafts and Social and Solidarity Economy, in partnership with the Federation of Craft Chambers, as part of the implementation of the provisions of the partnership agreement signed on February 25, 2026. This participation embodies a direction aimed at supporting Moroccan artisans and enhancing the overall prominence of craftsmanship. The Village highlighted a wide range of artisanal activities, including carpets, furniture, decoration, zellige tiles, pottery, ceramics, brassware, ironwork, artistic woodworking, embroidery, leather, traditional clothing, as well as jewelry and local products. This space was inaugurated by the Moroccan ambassador to Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Mohamed Ameur, in the presence of the director of heritage preservation, innovation, and promotion at the State Secretariat in charge of Handicrafts and Social and Solidarity Economy, Moha Er-Rich, and the president of the Federation of Craft Chambers, Cheggaf Sidati, along with the presidents of the regional craft chambers of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, the Oriental, Draa-Tafilalet, Guelmim-Oued Noun, and Beni Mellal-Khénifra.
