DR ‹ › A new Fiat model from Stellantis could be produced in Morocco. According to Italian media outlet Corriere della Sera, the model, likely to be named «Koala», may be manufactured at the group's Kenitra plant, where Stellantis has already allocated other models, including the Giga Panda (seven-seater) and the Fastback, both derived from vehicles assembled in Serbia. According to industry sources, the pre-series units for Koala are already in preparation and the trademark was filed last week in Turin through FCA Marketing Group. The model is expected to be based on the Panda platform, sharing components with existing models such as the Grande Panda and Pandina, while featuring distinct exterior and interior designs. More details could emerge on May 21, when Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa presents the group's new industrial plan, the same source added. The Koala would be part of Stellantis' broader strategy to expand its "smart car" platform across different markets.
