DR ‹ › Guinea's Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Integration and Guineans Abroad, Morissanda Kouyaté, on Sunday conveyed his country's sincere thanks to King Mohammed VI following a humanitarian operation to repatriate several dozen Guinean nationals. Speaking to MAP upon the arrival of the first group at Conakry International Airport aboard a Royal Air Maroc flight from Dakhla, as part of this voluntary return operation, Kouyaté expressed the Republic of Guinea's deep gratitude to the King for this humanitarian gesture. He also praised the efforts of Moroccan authorities in assisting these Guinean nationals, who had survived a shipwreck in Moroccan territorial waters. «Guinea will always remember this act, which adds to many others carried out by Morocco», he said. The minister further highlighted the commitment of both Heads of State to strengthening bilateral ties. «Morocco and Guinea share strong, deep, and historic relations, which they continue to reinforce steadily», he added. Additional voluntary return operations for Guinean nationals are expected in the coming days, bringing the total number of those who have chosen to return home to 360. Medical and psychological support has been provided to those wishing to return, helping them reunite with their families and loved ones.
