DR ‹ › Morocco has entered the top five suppliers of frozen raspberries to the Dutch market for the first time, exporting a record 1,000 tons in 2025, valued at over €2 million, according to EastFruit. This marks a 50% increase compared to 2024 and a fourfold rise from 2023. Morocco's market share rose to 7.4%, up from 5.5% a year earlier. The Netherlands, a key logistics hub for the EU, imported a total of 13,500 tons of frozen raspberries in 2025, up 21% year-on-year and more than double 2023 volumes. Around 60% to 70% of these imports are re-exported after processing, making the country a major gateway for frozen fruit distribution across Europe. Poland remained the leading supplier with a 32% share, followed by Germany, Chile and Serbia, which together accounted for about a third of imports. Morocco's performance reflects a broader shift in its berry industry, which is increasingly investing in frozen production alongside fresh exports. The country's growing presence in the Netherlands adds to its expanding footprint in Europe, with record frozen raspberry exports to France also reported in 2025.
