Morocco's fresh sweet corn exports to Germany reached a new record in the first nine months of 2025, with more than 2,000 tons shipped, worth USD 3.83 million, according to EastFruit. This represents an 18% increase over last year's record and double the volume exported in 2023. Germany, which historically ranked no higher than fourth among Morocco's sweet-corn destinations, is now on track to enter the kingdom's top three markets by the end of the year, after imports from Morocco surpassed those of the Netherlands by nearly 500 tons. Moroccan sweet corn has strengthened its position as Germany's second-largest source, accounting for more than 30% of imports so far in 2025. Shipments peak in April–May, when Morocco's share reaches up to 60% of the German market, the same source explains. Overall, Morocco's fresh sweet corn exports exceeded 20,000 tons for the first time in the past season.
