European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Vice President Mark Bowman will visit Morocco from June 18-20 to meet government officials and business leaders, focusing on private-sector financing and green economy transition support, reads an EBRD statement on Tuesday. Bowman will hold meetings in Rabat with key figures, including Minister of Economy and Finance Nadia Fettah Alaoui, Minister Delegate for Budget Fouzi Lekjaa, and Minister of Energy Transition Leila Benali. He will also meet with royal advisor Omar Kabbaj and Central Bank Director General Abderrahim Bouazza, and Rabat Mayor Fatiha El Moudni. The visit includes participation in the «World Cup, World Climate» conference opening ceremony and the Women in Infrastructure conference in Casablanca at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University. Morocco became an EBRD operational country in 2012 as a founding member. The bank has invested over €5.4 billion through 119 projects, with 72 percent directed to private sector initiatives.
