Morocco's Justice and Development Party (PJD) strongly condemned, Monday, Iran's attack on the American military base at Al Udeid in Qatar. In a statement signed by Abdelilah Benkirane, the Islamist party described Tehran's response to U.S. strikes as a «flagrant violation of Qatar's sovereignty». The PJD stressed that «Iran's reaction to the infringement of its sovereignty and territory can in no way justify the violation of the sovereignty of an Arab state or threaten the security and peace of its citizens and residents. This is unacceptable and must be condemned». «The current situation calls for urgent and decisive action from Arab and Islamic countries, as well as the mobilization of all political and diplomatic tools to put an end to these dangerous developments. It is imperative to end the suffering of Palestine, particularly in Gaza, in the face of ongoing aggression, genocide, siege, famine, and injustice imposed by the Zionist terrorist occupation», the statement continued. Notably, the PJD did not clarify that Al Udeid is a U.S. military base located in Qatar. So far, neither Al Adl wal Ihsane, the National Action Group for Palestine Support, nor the Moroccan Front for Palestine Support and Against Normalization have commented on the Iranian strike on Doha. These three groups have, however, separately organized demonstrations expressing solidarity with Iran.
