Police at Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca arrested two Canadian nationals on Tuesday for their suspected involvement in international drug and psychotropic substance trafficking. The suspects, aged 19 and 32, were detained upon arrival from a flight originating in Toronto, Canada, according to a security source. A security check led to the discovery of nearly 134 kilograms of marijuana hidden in their luggage. The two individuals were taken into custody pending an investigation by Casablanca's Prefectural Judicial Police, under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor, to determine the international scope of the criminal activity. This operation is part of ongoing efforts by Morocco's General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) to combat international drug and psychotropic trafficking networks.
