The General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) has announced that a heatwave is set to hit several regions of the kingdom from Sunday through Tuesday, with temperatures soaring between 42 and 48°C. In an orange-level alert bulletin, the DGM warns that temperatures will climb to between 45 and 48°C in the provinces of Zagora, Tata, Assa-Zag, Es-Semara, Boujdour, Oued Ed-Dahab, and Aousserd during this period. Furthermore, the DGM notes that hot weather with temperatures ranging from 42 to 44°C is expected on Sunday and Monday in the provinces of Fquih Ben Salah, El Kelaa des Sraghna, and Marrakech.
