Heavy thunderstorms with localized hail and strong wind gusts are expected on Saturday, while a heatwave will affect several provinces in the Kingdom from Saturday through Wednesday, according to the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM). In an orange alert bulletin, the DGM forecasts thunderstorms (15–25 mm), with local hail and gusty winds, on Saturday from 2 p.m. to midnight in the provinces of Khouribga, Ifrane, Khénifra, Fquih Ben Salah, Béni Mellal, El Kelaa des Sraghna, Azilal, and Al Haouz. Meanwhile, hot weather with temperatures ranging between 37°C and 43°C is expected on Saturday in the provinces of Ouezzane, Fès, Moulay Yaacoub, Taounate, Sidi Kacem, Fquih Ben Salah, and Settat. The heatwave will persist on Sunday and Monday, with temperatures between 37°C and 42°C in the provinces of Taounate, Taza, Guercif, Taourirt, Fquih Ben Salah, Khouribga, and Béni Mellal. From Saturday to Wednesday, even higher temperatures—ranging from 40°C to 45°C—are forecast in the southern provinces of Zagora, Tata, Assa-Zag, Es-Semara, Boujdour, Aousserd, and Oued Ed-Dahab.
