A heatwave is expected from Saturday through Wednesday across several provinces in Morocco, with temperatures ranging between 41°C and 45°C, according to the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM). On Saturday, high temperatures are forecast in the provinces of Sidi Kacem, Sidi Slimane, Khouribga, Settat, El Kelâa des Sraghna, Marrakech, Moulay Yacoub, Taounate, Larache, Ouezzane, Tata, Tinghir, Zagora, Rehamna, Khémisset, Béni Mellal, Fquih Ben Salah, Meknès, Errachidia, Khénifra, and Fès, the DGM stated in an orange-level weather alert. The heatwave is expected to persist on Sunday and Monday in the provinces of Tata, Zagora, Khouribga, Ouezzane, Béni Mellal, Fquih Ben Salah, Meknès, El Hajeb, Fès, Sefrou, Moulay Yacoub, Taounate, and Taza. On Tuesday and Wednesday, the scorching temperatures will affect the provinces of Rehamna, El Kelâa des Sraghna, Zagora, Tata, Taroudant, Assa-Zag, Es-Semara, Fquih Ben Salah, and Béni Mellal.
