Heavy thunderstorms with localized hail and strong gusty winds, along with high temperatures, are expected Thursday and Friday across several Moroccan provinces, the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) announced. On Thursday, thunderstorms producing 15-25 mm of rain, accompanied by localized hail and gusty winds, are forecast from 2 PM to 9 PM in the provinces of Rehamna, Marrakech, Al Haouz, Chichaoua, and Midelt, according to an orange-level alert from the DGM. Meanwhile, hot weather with temperatures between 39°C and 45°C is expected Thursday in numerous provinces, including Ouezzane, Larache, Tanger-Assilah, Moulay Yacoub, El Hajeb, Fès, Taza, Taounate, Meknès, Skhirate-Témara, Sidi Slimane, Kénitra, Rabat, Salé, Sidi Kacem, Khémisset, Fquih Ben Salah, Khénifra, Béni Mellal, Khouribga, Mediouna, Nouaceur, Berrechid, Mohammedia, Benslimane, Casablanca, Settat, Youssoufia, Chichaoua, Marrakech, Rehamna, El Kelaa des Sraghna, Zagora, Tata, Assa-Zag, Es-Semara, Aousserd, and Oued-Ed-Dahab. On Friday, the heatwave will continue to affect provinces including Ouezzane, Larache, Fès, Taounate, Meknès, Moulay Yacoub, Sidi Kacem, Sidi Slimane, Khémisset, Khouribga, Béni Mellal, Fquih Ben Salah, Settat, El Kelaa des Sraghna, Zagora, Souss-Massa, Tata, Assa-Zag, Es-Semara, Boujdour, Aousserd, and Oued Ed-Dahab, the DGM added.
