A new Bollywood film, Captain India, will be shot across Morocco in 2026. Starring India's highest-paid actor, Kartik Aaryan, the movie is based on true events in which the protagonist plays the role of an Air Force pilot. According to Indian entertainment and lifestyle platform Pinkvilla, filming is scheduled to take place between March and July 2026 across India and Morocco, with the North African kingdom providing key backdrops. A location scouting team has already toured Morocco to finalize shooting spots. Slated for release in the first half of 2027, the project is directed by Indian-American filmmaker Shimit Amin, best known for the award-winning Chak De! India starring Shah Rukh Khan. Captain India marks Amin's directorial return after several years. Morocco, a long-time draw for international productions, has hosted Bollywood films such as Jagga Jasoos, Agent Vinod, Dishoom, and Krrish 3, as well as Hollywood hits like Gladiator and Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation in Ouarzazate.
