Two people were killed in a fire that broke out early Monday morning around 5:30 a.m., destroying five shacks in Douar Moulay Azzouz Elmelk, part of the Annakhil urban area in Marrakech, according to the Marrakech-Safi prefecture. Local and security authorities, along with Civil Protection services, immediately rushed to the scene to intervene and take the necessary measures, the same source said. The fire was quickly brought under control, while the relevant services began identifying the two victims. A judicial investigation has also been opened.
