Comediablanca, the Moroccan stand-up comedy festival, will launch its first international tour on December 22, 2025, at L'Olympia in Paris, organizers announced Monday in Casablanca. The festival, produced by Tendansia and founded in 2024, has drawn 11,000 spectators across its first two editions. The international tour will include stops in Montreal, Brussels, and Abidjan before returning to Casablanca. The Paris show will feature eight comedians, headlined by Moroccan-born international performer Gad Elmaleh. The lineup includes Moroccan comedians Jalil Tijani, Mimo Lazrak, and Ethan Lallouz, alongside performers from Senegal, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, and Belgium. Previous Comediablanca editions have featured French comedians Roman Frayssinet and Ilyes Djadel, as well as Elena Nagapetyan. Tendansia, the production company behind the festival, was co-founded by Saad Lahjouji and Myriam Bouayad. The company specializes in cultural event production and operates programs including artist residencies and mentorship initiatives for emerging comedians. The festival presents comedy acts in French, Arabic, and English. Tendansia describes its mission as promoting African creative expertise internationally and positioning Morocco as a cultural hub on the continent.
