On Monday, a Moroccan woman and her 12-year-old son achieved a remarkable feat by swimming from Fnideq to Ceuta. Upon their arrival, they were promptly taken to the city's university hospital for essential medical attention. As reported by El Pueblo de Ceuta, the pair reached the Loma Colmenar area around noon. They showed mild symptoms of cold, but fortunately, there were no indications of hypothermia. Their condition was stable, and a wound on the mother's foot was treated. Overall, her health was deemed good. Following their medical treatment, police escorted the mother and child to the security headquarters for identification and registration, as confirmed by security sources to the Spanish newspaper. The 36-year-old mother recounted that their arrival in Ceuta was unplanned. She explained that she plunged into the sea to save her son, who had fled their home, made his way to the coast, and jumped into the water. Her rescue attempt inadvertently led them both to Spanish shores.
