Barcelona is set to host the second Conference of Young Moroccans in Spain from October 31 to November 2, under the theme «Young Moroccans in Spain: Professional and Cultural Journeys – Experiences and Challenges». This event is organized by the Federation of the Higher Commission for Culture and Muslims of Catalonia, in collaboration with the Council of the Moroccan Community Abroad and the Ministry of Habous and Islamic Affairs, following the success of its inaugural edition. According to a statement from the organizers, the conference aims to provide «a space for dialogue and exchange for young Moroccans residing in Spain», showcasing «their diverse cultural and professional experiences», while also exploring «the opportunities offered by Morocco in the economic, development, and investment sectors». The conference will focus on four main themes: «The cultural and social experiences of young Moroccans in Spain (literature, art, politics, and communication); young Moroccans in Spain and the challenges of cultural and social action; cross-perspectives on the experiences of Moroccan youth in Spain; young Moroccans in Spain and their country of origin.» More than 60 talented young Moroccans living in Spain will gather for this event, along with representatives of young Moroccans from Italy and France, as well as researchers and notable Moroccan figures. The conference will feature a keynote speech by Driss El Yazami, president of the CCME, on the theme «Moroccan Communities: Transformations and Challenges». The program also includes parallel sports, artistic, and literary activities, aimed at «promoting exchanges and networking among participants», while advocating for values of openness and creativity.
