Under the directives of King Mohammed VI, Supreme Commander and Chief of the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR), Army Corps General Mohammed Berrid, Inspector General of the FAR and Commander of the Southern Zone, received Major General Vincent Nyakarundi, Chief of Staff of the Rwandan Army, at the FAR General Staff headquarters on Tuesday. Major General Nyakarundi was on a working visit to Morocco from November 10 to 14. According to a statement from the FAR General Staff, this visit forms part of the implementation of the military cooperation agreement signed in June 2025 in Rabat between the two countries. The agreement covers multiple areas of military collaboration. During the meeting, the Rwandan army chief expressed his deep appreciation for the excellent bilateral relations between Morocco and Rwanda. He stressed that the visit represents an important step in the development of military cooperation, offering a valuable opportunity for dialogue and consultation between the two armies. At the conclusion of the talks, both leaders reaffirmed their shared commitment to sustaining the current momentum of partnership and expanding its scope, with the goal of consolidating a durable and exemplary model of military cooperation between the two forces. Built on a long-standing foundation, the relations between Morocco and Rwanda, strengthened since the historic visit of King Mohammed VI to Kigali in 2016, continue to evolve into a strategic partnership aimed at promoting development, security, and peace across the African continent.
