The Spanish airline Vueling has launched a new air route between Barcelona and Agadir as part of its winter schedule. The inaugural flight, operating under number VY8530, landed on Sunday at 10:30 a.m., officially marking the start of the new service, the company said in a press release. According to the same source, the route will run twice a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays. The Barcelona–Agadir connection forms part of Vueling's broader expansion strategy, aimed at strengthening its international network from the Catalan capital. With this addition, the Spanish low-cost carrier further expands its footprint in Morocco, where it already operates flights from Barcelona to Essaouira and Marrakech. Founded in 2004, Vueling Airlines is a low-cost carrier based in El Prat de Llobregat, near Barcelona.
