Karboubi attributed her decision to practices by the National Technical Directorate that "disrupted the course, overshadowed past and expected achievements, and even undermined the project." The international referee also emphasized in her letter that she represented her country with distinction at various international events, expressing her pride in representing the honorable kingdom, and stressing that the support from the federation was "the best guidance for her career." Karboubi concluded her letter by extending her heartfelt gratitude to the President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation for his faith, support, and assistance, which enabled her to reach the heights she achieved in her sporting career.
