The Minister of the Interior announced that professionals affiliated with the Chambers of Agriculture, Commerce, Industry and Services, Craftsmanship, and Maritime Fishing who are not yet registered on the professional electoral lists may now do so. Those who meet the legal criteria and are at least 18 years old, or will turn 18 by March 31, 2026, can submit their registration applications as part of the annual revision for 2026. The registration period opened on Monday, December 1, 2025, and will run until Wednesday, December 31, 2025. Eligible professionals are invited to file their applications with the local administrative authority responsible for the area where their professional activity is carried out, the statement said. The ministry also reminds professionals already registered on the electoral lists who wish to transfer their registration, from one professional category or electoral body to another, or from one electoral district to another, to submit their requests to the same offices before the end of December. Out of the 120 seats in the Chamber of Advisors, 20 are allocated to the Professional Chambers: 7 for Agriculture, 6 for Commerce, Industry and Services, 5 for Craftsmanship, and 2 for Maritime Fishing. Indirect elections for the Chamber of Advisors are scheduled for 2027.
