Security and customs officials at the Bab Sebta crossing successfully intercepted an attempt to smuggle 12 kilograms of cocaine on the morning of Tuesday, December 2. The illicit cargo was discovered in a shipment within a foreign-registered vehicle driven by a Moroccan national. In response, the regional judicial police department in Tetouan has initiated a criminal investigation, under the guidance of the public prosecutor's office, to unravel the details and circumstances surrounding this operation. The suspect, a 30-year-old man, is currently undergoing investigative procedures aimed at uncovering the potential reach of this network and its connections to international drug and psychotropic substance trafficking. The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to identify and apprehend other individuals linked to this criminal activity.
