DR ‹ › Malaysia Airlines and Royal Air Maroc have signed a codeshare agreement aimed at strengthening air connectivity between Africa, Europe, and Asia. Both carriers are members of the oneworld alliance, and the partnership seeks to offer passengers greater flexibility, expanded travel benefits, and a smoother journey across their combined networks, reads a press release on Wednesday. The agreement covers connecting routes between Casablanca and Kuala Lumpur via Doha, London, and Paris. Under the arrangement, Royal Air Maroc will place its «AT» code on Malaysia Airlines-operated flights between Kuala Lumpur (KUL) and Doha (DOH), London (LHR), and Paris (CDG). Conversely, Malaysia Airlines will add its «MH» code to Royal Air Maroc flights operating between Casablanca (CMN) and the same destinations. Malaysia Aviation Group CEO Datuk Captain Izham Ismail said the partnership represents a key step in Malaysia Airlines' network expansion strategy, allowing the carrier to extend its global reach through oneworld partnerships and improve access and convenience for passengers traveling to and from Africa. Royal Air Maroc CEO Hamid Addou described the agreement as an important milestone in the airline's long-haul expansion in Asia, reinforcing its position as a hub connecting Africa, Europe, and Asia while ensuring a seamless and high-quality travel experience. The collaboration is expected to enhance operational synergies between the two airlines and respond to growing demand for intercontinental travel, leveraging their respective hubs in Casablanca and Kuala Lumpur. As oneworld members, both airlines offer access to a global network of more than 900 destinations, with harmonized benefits for passengers.
