DR ‹ › Morocco's tourism office and private-sector operators met in Mazagan on December 18–19 under the banner «Stronger Together» to jointly prepare an action plan for the sector by 2026. The meeting brought together the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT), led by Achraf Fayda, and the National Tourism Confederation (CNT), headed by Hamid Bentahar, alongside around 60 tourism professionals and experts, reads a press release on Thursday. Discussions focused on aligning public and private strategies, consolidating priority markets, particularly Western Europe, and adopting tailored approaches for emerging regions such as China, the Americas, the Middle East and Africa. Key levers included air connectivity, distribution, content, digital innovation and customer experience. Regions were placed at the heart of the strategy, with an emphasis on promoting both flagship and emerging destinations. Participants also highlighted two major challenges: scaling up high-potential destinations and reducing seasonality to ensure more balanced tourist flows throughout the year.
