DR ‹ › Morocco has retained its 11th place in the FIFA men's world rankings, according to the December edition released by FIFA on Monday. With 1,716.34 points, the Atlas Lions are just 0.54 points short of re-entering the Top 10 for the first time in 27 years (since April 1998). Morocco is now within striking distance of Croatia, which remains 10th with 1,716.88 points. Thanks to five wins and one draw by the national A' team, crowned champions of the FIFA Arab Cup earlier this month in Qatar, Morocco gained 3.22 points compared to the November rankings. The December 2025 FIFA Men's World Ranking, the final edition of the year, is based on 42 matches, including games played during the Arab Cup. As a result, it does not take into account Morocco's 2–0 victory over Comoros in the opening match of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2025), played the day before in Rabat. At the top of the rankings, Spain finishes 2025 in first place after overtaking Argentina (2nd) during the September international window, while France (3rd) completes the year's podium. England (4th), Brazil (5th), Portugal (6th), the Netherlands (7th), Belgium (8th), and Germany (9th) also remain in the Top 10. The Top 33 remains unchanged overall, with only three teams managing to climb more than one position: Jordan (64th, +2), runners-up to Morocco in the 2025 Arab Cup; Vietnam (107th, +3); and Singapore (148th, +3). Kosovo (80th, unchanged) stood out by collecting 89.02 points, the highest total of any team, thanks to a record of seven wins and two draws from ten matches in 2025. Kosovo also recorded the biggest rise over the past year, climbing 19 places. Other notable performers include Norway (29th, unchanged), which added 68.70 points, and Suriname (123rd, unchanged), which has climbed 15 places since December 2024. In total, 12 teams advanced between 10 and 14 places during the year. At the end of 2025, the distribution of the Top 50 teams by confederation remains largely unchanged from the previous year: 26 teams from UEFA, seven from CONMEBOL (-1), seven from CAF, five from CONCACAF (+1), five from AFC, and none from OFC.
