According to an orange-level weather alert, snowfall ranging from 10 to 25 cm is forecast above 1,500 meters from Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. until Thursday at 6:00 p.m. in the provinces of Figuig, Boulemane, Sefrou, Guercif, Taza, and Midelt. In addition, rainfall that may be locally thundery, accompanied by hail and strong winds, is expected from Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. to Thursday at 6:00 p.m., with accumulated rainfall amounts ranging between 30 and 70 mm. The provinces concerned are Taza, Berkane, Driouch, Nador, Oujda-Angad, Jerada, Taourirt, Al Hoceima, Guercif, Figuig, Sefrou, and Boulemane. Finally, very cold conditions are forecast above 1,600 meters, with temperatures ranging between –8°C and –4°C, from Thursday to Saturday in the provinces of Boulemane, Ifrane, Midelt, Khenifra, Azilal, Beni Mellal, Tinghir, Ouarzazate, Al Haouz, Taroudant, and Chichaoua, the same source added.
