DR ‹ › The bodies of the father and his daughter, swept away by powerful flash floods on Monday in Oued Sidi Ouaaziz, in the Taroudant province, were found around midday this Tuesday, following hours of continuous search efforts. The two bodies were transferred to the morgue of the provincial hospital in Taroudant to undergo the required legal procedures. According to local sources, the girl is around 17 years old and a second-year high school student, while her father is approximately 60 years old. The family had been living in the Sidi Ouaaziz center for about three years and originally comes from the Aghbalo area, within the Tanazart municipality. The father had gone to pick up his daughter from school and managed to cross the Ouadi without difficulty on the way there. However, conditions changed rapidly on their return as water levels rose suddenly due to the flooding, catching them by surprise. Civil Protection teams, supported by the Royal Gendarmerie and local authorities, launched extensive search operations covering more than three kilometers downstream from the site of the incident.
