DR ‹ › The Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) has received two major distinctions in Spain from leading professional organizations in the travel sector, reinforcing Morocco's strong positioning in this key European market. The Spanish Confederation of Travel Agencies (CEAV) has named Morocco «International Destination of the Year 2025», an award presented to Achraf Fayda, Director General of the ONMT, the Office said in a statement. This recognition highlights the sustained efforts made by the ONMT in promoting, communicating, and structuring Morocco's tourism offer among Spanish travel distribution professionals. It reflects the effectiveness of a long-term strategy aimed at enriching, updating, and strengthening Morocco's presence in the programs of Spanish travel agencies and tour operators, who play a central role as key market influencers. As Spain's leading travel agency consortium, CEAV brings together thousands of agencies nationwide and is a major player in the country's tourism industry. This award further underscores the strength of the partnership between Morocco and Spanish travel professionals. At the same time, the Andalusian Federation of Travel Agencies (FAAV) awarded Morocco the title of "Preferred International Destination" among travel agencies in Andalusia, confirming the Kingdom's appeal in this important regional market. The award was presented to Achraf Fayda by Antonio Caño, president of the Córdoba Association of Travel Agencies and secretary-general of the FAAV. This recognition is further supported by the continued expansion of air connectivity between Spain and Morocco, as well as maritime links connecting southern Spain to the Kingdom.
