DR ‹ › Traffic has been temporarily suspended on National Road No. 2 (RN2) between Tetouan and Tangier, at the level of the Sehtriyene commune, as well as on National Road No. 16 (RN16) between Tétouan and Fnideq, near the Saniat Thores roundabout in the Malaliyine commune, within the M'diq area, the Ministry of Equipment and Water announced on Wednesday. According to a ministry statement, the temporary disruption is due to rising water levels in Oued Khmiss Anjra, which have flooded sections of the roadway. The ministry said traffic can be diverted by heading toward Fnideq via the A7 highway, then taking RN16 between Fnideq and Ksar Sghir, before continuing on the A5 highway to reach Tangier. It added that the National Highway Company of Morocco has made the highway linking Tetouan and Fnideq available to road users free of charge. Traffic will be restored as soon as water levels recede, the same source said, urging motorists to remain vigilant and comply with road signage to ensure their safety. The ministry also said it remains available to citizens 24/7 to provide all necessary information, and encouraged road users to consult regular updates via its official website at www.equipement.gov.ma, or to contact the Roads Directorate's emergency center at 05 37 71 17 17.
