DR ‹ › The General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises and Technopark Morocco signed a strategic cooperation agreement on Tuesday in Casablanca. The agreement aims to strengthen Morocco's national startup ecosystem and foster the integration of technological innovation into the country's economic fabric. The agreement was signed by Hassan Belkhayat, President of CGEM's TECH Ecosystem Commission, and Lamiae Benmakhlouf, General Director of Technopark Morocco. According to a statement from CGEM, the partnership is part of a public–private cooperation framework focused on competitiveness, innovative entrepreneurship, and value creation. Under the agreement, both parties will work together to provide structured and comprehensive support to startups, particularly by facilitating access to financing, market opportunities, skills development, and international expansion. Through its TECH Ecosystem Commission, CGEM will mobilize its national and international network of businesses, investors, and partners to support the growth of startups hosted by Technopark Morocco. For its part, Technopark Morocco, a key player in the country's innovation landscape that has supported more than 1,700 innovative companies and currently hosts over 450 startups, generating approximately 2,500 skilled jobs, will serve as a vital interface between startups and CGEM member companies. Technopark will notably contribute to identifying startups' needs, organizing joint initiatives, and co-developing open innovation programs and sector-specific partnerships.
