The operations are being carried out under a preventive approach that takes into account risk levels and the scale of potential damage, with logistical resources mobilized to ensure the safe transport of affected residents. By province, 112,695 people were evacuated in Larache, 23,174 in Kenitra, 14,079 in Sidi Kacem, and 4,361 in Sidi Slimane, as part of measures aimed at protecting lives and ensuring public safety. Authorities noted that the vast majority of residents in Ksar El Kebir have left the city under these precautionary arrangements. At the same time, field data and monitoring forecasts indicate that flooding has not yet receded and that hydrological conditions could worsen, with rising risk levels. Citizens are therefore urged to remain highly vigilant and to avoid returning to affected areas at this stage, until conditions improve and official instructions are issued, in order to safeguard lives and ensure public safety, the Ministry added.
