DR ‹ › Morocco is closely monitoring developments in the Middle East and their repercussions on global supply chains and key sectors, the Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development said in a statement. The situation, marked by attacks on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of several Arab states, has affected sectors including transport, civil and military infrastructure, digital networks, data centers, as well as banking and insurance systems, it said in a statement this Thursday. The ministry said available indicators suggest that the global energy system currently has the capacity, in the short term, to absorb shocks and sharp price fluctuations, thanks in part to international coordination among key energy actors. Authorities also confirmed that national energy stock levels are being monitored on a daily basis to ensure Morocco's needs are secured under the best conditions, while keeping the public informed of developments. The ministry called on market actors to act responsibly, ensure market stability, and avoid practices that could negatively affect citizens' purchasing power.
