DR ‹ › The Spanish Civil Guard has issued a warning to travelers crossing the border between Ceuta and Morocco, stressing the importance of declaring the cash they are carrying. It highlighted that carrying 10,000 euros or more in cash without prior declaration could result in the seizure of the funds and the imposition of fines. The Spanish authorities clarified in an Instagram awareness post that this regulation applies to all individuals crossing the Tarajal border, whether they are traveling to Morocco or returning to Ceuta. Officials confirmed that the law mandates every traveler entering or exiting Spain with 10,000 euros or its equivalent in other currencies, such as the Moroccan dirham, to declare it by completing the «S1» form, a straightforward and free legal procedure.
