DR ‹ › Morocco's U17 national team secured a convincing 3–0 victory over Algeria on Friday in their opening match of the North African Football Union (UNAF) Championship, held in Benghazi, Libya. The Moroccan side applied pressure from the outset and took the lead in the 12th minute through an own goal by Algeria's Mahmoud Nobli. As the first half drew to a close, Morocco doubled their advantage in the 43rd minute with a goal from Rami Loghmani. In stoppage time, Adam Boughazir sealed the win with a third goal. Morocco had already started the tournament on a strong note, beating Tunisia 2–0 in their opening match. The competition, which also features Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, and Algeria, serves as a qualifier for the U17 Africa Cup of Nations. Morocco will face Egypt in their third match on March 30 before concluding their campaign against hosts Libya on April 5. The top three teams will qualify for the 2026 AFCON finals.
