DR ‹ › The Support Fund for the Promotion of Women's Representation's central committee has greenlit 107 projects under its latest call for projects, No. 11. Of these, three were put forward by political parties, one by a parallel organization, and the rest by civil society associations. This decision was reached during a meeting held in Rabat to discuss the outcomes of this call for projects. The session was led by Samir Mohammed Tazi, Wali, Secretary General of the Ministry of the Interior, and President of the committee. Also present were Hassan Aghmari, Wali, Director of Electoral Affairs, along with other committee members. According to a statement from the Ministry of the Interior, the total funding earmarked for these projects is 19.21 million dirhams, with the Fund contributing 13.42 million. Call for projects No. 11, launched in December 2025, carries the theme «For a Strong Female Presence and Strengthening Women's Representation in Upcoming Elections». This edition has seen a notable and exceptional increase in the Fund's budget, which has doubled to 20 million dirhams from 10 million in previous years. This round featured an enhanced communication and awareness strategy, including regional outreach meetings. These gatherings, attended by central committee members, particularly targeted prefectures and provinces that had not previously benefited from the Fund's support. These initiatives underscore the commitment to expanding the Fund's reach, especially in regions with low female participation, to boost women's involvement in politics. Moreover, the Ministry of the Interior has updated the regulatory framework governing the Fund's management, delegating some central management responsibilities to the provincial level and bolstering the role of the Fund's provincial units.
