Tesla has officially entered the Moroccan market with the creation of Tesla Morocco, a subsidiary established on May 27, 2025, by two Dutch entities and headquartered in Casablanca Marina. The new company will handle the import, sale, and servicing of electric vehicles and energy solutions. American multinational automotive and clean energy company Tesla is officially stepping into the Moroccan market, as confirmed by a recent legal notice of incorporation announcing the creation of a local subsidiary. The company, named Tesla Morocco, was established on May 27, 2025, by two Dutch entities: Tesla International B.V., which serves as a regional hub for Tesla's operations across Europe, Asia, Latin America, and Australia; and Tesla Motors Netherlands B.V., Tesla's established subsidiary in the Netherlands. The new Limited Liability Company (L.L.C.) will be headquartered at Crystal Tower in Casablanca Marina, a prominent and prestigious business hub situated on Boulevard des Almohades in Morocco's economic capital, Casablanca. Tesla Morocco was incorporated with a share capital of 27,527,400.00 Moroccan Dirhams, divided into 275,274 shares of 100 dirhams each. Electric vehicles, charging infrastructure and clean energy solutions According to the legal filing, the company's objectives include the import, distribution, sale, maintenance, and repair of electric vehicles and energy storage systems, along with the provision of replacement vehicles. Tesla Morocco will also be responsible for the deployment of electric vehicle charging infrastructure throughout the country. It is worth noting that Tesla chose Morocco to install its first Superchargers in Africa, namely in the Moroccan cities of Tangier and Casablanca back in October 2021. Beyond e-mobility, Tesla Morocco aims to promote and commercialize solar systems, photovoltaic panels, network services, and other related clean energy solutions. The subsidiary's activities will also include engineering, training, technical support, and the sale of accessories, all aligned with Tesla's global mission to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy. Management of Tesla Morocco has been entrusted to two executives: Rafael Arqueza Martin, a Spanish national, and Shahin Oliver Khorshidpanah, an American national, both of whom will oversee the company's operations in Morocco.
