The seaside resort of Saïdia Mediterrania will host a key stage of the Triathlon World Cup on Sunday, June 29, bringing together nearly 140 international athletes—including the world's top ten (five women and five men)—for a high-level competition listed on the official World Triathlon Cup calendar, according to a statement. The event is organized by the Royal Moroccan Triathlon Federation (FRMTRI) and Madaëf Sports & Events (MSE) as part of their commitment to sports development and promoting Morocco on the international stage. Following its successful hosting of the African Cup in 2024, Saïdia continues to strengthen its status as an international sports destination. Three Moroccan triathletes are set to compete, aiming to earn qualification points for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. The race includes a 1.5 km swim, 40 km cycle, and 10 km run, all set in the heart of the resort. The event will be broadcast on the official platforms of the International Triathlon Federation and Morocco's Arriyadia channel. Ahead of the elite races, the city will also host the first stage of the National Age Group Championship and an aquathlon for children on the previous day.
