A 28-year-old man was arrested on Sunday evening in Casablanca for threatening to commit a crime against people at the Al-Andalous mosque in the Anassi neighborhood. Displaying signs of mental disease, the individual was identified following an investigation into a video documenting the incident from inside the place of worship. According to security sources, the suspect was recently admitted to a psychiatric facility. On the prosecutor's orders, he was placed in the mental health and psychiatric unit of the Ibn Rochd University Hospital Center in Casablanca for necessary evaluations.
