Several regions across Morocco are bracing for severe thunderstorms on Tuesday, with hail and wind gusts in the forecast, the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) has warned. In an orange-level weather alert, the DGM forecasts heavy downpours ranging between 25 and 35 mm, along with hail and strong winds, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the provinces of Fez, Ifrane, El Hajeb, Meknes, Moulay Yacoub, Sefrou, Taza, Taounate, and Khemisset. The same weather conditions are expected to affect the provinces of Guercif, Driouch, Figuig, Jerada, Nador, Oujda-Angad, Taourirt, Berkane, and Boulemane from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., the DGM added. Later in the day, from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., thunderstorms are also forecast in the southern provinces of Aousserd and Oued Ed-Dahab.
