The Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) has teamed up with the French company NAAREA, a pioneer in developing fourth-generation micro nuclear generators that utilize fast neutrons and molten salts, to form a strategic partnership aimed at advancing training in this revolutionary technology. As per the announcement, this collaboration is set to be fully operational by the 2025-2026 academic year. «The Nuclear Engineering program, which is currently being rolled out at UM6P, will initially integrate options into existing curricula, allowing for a gradual introduction to this specialization», the statement emphasizes. The partnership will focus on several key areas, including «the mobility of engineering students, doctoral candidates, and faculty; collaborative research efforts such as joint projects, seminars, and conferences; co-submission of research funding proposals; knowledge exchange through publications, academic resources, and scientific data; involvement in advanced cycles contributing to doctoral and research master's programs; joint initiatives for comparative analysis and enhancement of academic standards; short academic programs; and the development of online and digital learning platforms». Both UM6P and NAAREA view these focus areas as aligning with «a shared vision centered on pedagogical innovation and excellence in both academic and applied research».
