A homeless man suffering from mental illness killed a 12-year-old student in the city of Taza Thursday afternoon after striking him with a glass bottle. According to local sources, the child was on his way to school when the assailant suddenly blocked his path and attacked him, causing his death on the spot. Upon being alerted, the judicial police quickly arrived at the scene, launched an investigation, and managed to apprehend the suspect shortly afterward. He was taken into custody at the regional security headquarters under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office.
